NHAC Youth: Growing to Learn, Equipping to Serve….Matthew 9:12-13

       Christ tells us in Mathew that it is the sick that need a doctor and we are to learn that He desires compassion, not sacrifices. God’s vision for us many times will take us all out of our comfort zones and into the lives of people, broken people who do not know and cannot comprehend the love of God. We need to accept and love those people, the way they are, despite their sin and flaws. We were all in the same boat, separated from God and destined to destruction.

       As believers though, we become a new creation and are able to (in essence) start over. It doesn’t stop there though, we are to go back into the world and proclaim what He has done for us, so that others do not miss out. Many times though, we become complacent and tend to enjoy our comfort zone.

       The youth at NHAC are getting out of their comfort zone. They are learning what it means to serve people out of compassion and love, not for self-righteous gain. Our goal is to show people the genuine love that Christ has for people, and do that by serving them. As we go through this learning process, together, we grow and mature in our relationship to
